Some Photoshop tools will only work with raster graphics, making vector images difficult to edit. To edit those vector pictures, you will first have to convert them into raster. This guide will show you how to rasterize a layer in Adobe Photoshop.

  1. Right-click on the layer you want to rasterize under “Layers.”

  2. Click on Rasterize Layer, and that’s it!

Convert to Smart Object

If you do not have the Rasterize Layer option when you right-click on the layer, you first need to convert it into a Smart Object.

  1. Right-click on the layer and click on Convert to Smart Object.

  2. Then right-click on the same layer again and click on Rasterize Layer.
